Verbena bonariensis is an architecturally interesting plant with numerous small, bright violet-blue flowers on thin stems. It blooms from July to October and attracts bees and butterflies. Growing up to 140 cm tall, it is ideal for background planting in perennial borders and as a cut flower. The Royal Horticultural Society has awarded this plant an Award of Garden Merit (AGM). The tall verbena (Verbena bonariensis) is an absolute eye-catcher in any garden.
