March cup (Leucojum vernum)
This delicate little plant belongs to the genus Leucojum, which takes its name from the Greek words leukos, "white," and ion, "violet," as the species belonging to it are not entirely dissimilar in appearance and fragrance to a white violet. The genus includes a total of 10 species that can be found almost worldwide and are native to a wide variety of habitats. The snowflake is native to southern and eastern Europe. It is also known as the spring snowflake.

Growth form:
The difference between snowdrops and the otherwise very similar snowdrops is that the petals are the same length. It grows up to 30 cm tall.
Blossom:
Flowers in early spring between March and April; one or two bell-shaped flowers per stem with green spots at the tips of the petals.
Location requirements:
Snowflakes prefer a partially shaded location with moist but well-drained soil. Locations under deciduous trees are particularly popular.
Care:
Plant at a depth of approximately 7 cm. They will quickly become naturalized. Some varieties absolutely require frost protection or should be overwintered indoors. From midsummer to autumn, you can separate the daughter bulbs to ensure propagation.
