The pretty garden scabious 'Oxford Blue' captivates with its lilac-blue flowers with a delicate honey scent. This annual grows moderately fast and produces an abundance of approximately 6 cm flowers on tall, sturdy stems. The ideal location is full sun and not too humid. Regularly removing dead plant parts is recommended, not only for aesthetic reasons but also to extend the flowering period into late autumn. Garden scabious is easy to grow and popular as a cut and dried flower. As a source of nectar, it attracts many insects to the garden. Once the risk of frost has passed, the seedlings can be transplanted outdoors, spacing them 60 cm apart.
