The annual quaking grass is particularly decorative thanks to its loose, large spikes growing on delicate stems. With its bushy growth, it's an ideal gap-filler in beds and pots. In bouquets, the silvery, shimmering spikes add lightness and vibrancy. Quaking grass is also wonderfully suited for drying. After sowing, the soil should be kept slightly moist. Depending on the temperature, the first seedlings will emerge after 2 to 3 weeks. They should then be thinned to a planting distance of about 5 cm. Outdoors, tall quaking grass is an uncomplicated plant that tolerates slight drought, but should not be allowed to dry out.
