The celosia, also known as cockscomb, is an extremely decorative plant. The large, comb-shaped flower heads of the 'Neo Rose' variety, which bloom in a brilliant pink, are particularly striking. Growing tips: During cultivation, the seeds should be kept evenly moist. Celosia is very sensitive to frost and should not be planted in the garden until after the Ice Saints in mid-May. Make sure that the soil is kept evenly moist outdoors and fertilized weekly, as any inhibition of growth will result in stunted plants with small, premature flowers.
