Growing tips:

Radishes prefer loose, slightly sandy soils in sunny locations. Premature fertilization is not necessary. They should not be sown too deeply, as otherwise radishes tend to grow misshapen and elongated. A consistent water supply is important to prevent premature flowering, as if they flower too early, they become hairy or too sharp. Growing them under fleece or regularly hoeing to create a finely crumbly soil surface reduces the risk of flea beetles, which often infest radishes. After about 6 to 8 weeks, when the tubers have reached a size of about 2-3 cm, they are ready for harvest. Grasp the plant by the leaves with one hand, and under the tuber with the other, and then carefully pull the entire plant out of the soil. To ensure a regular harvest of radishes, reseed every two weeks.
